Australian Apprenticeship Centres The Australian Government has introduced a number of initiatives to assist employers who take on an Australian Apprentice, particularly where the Australian Apprenticeship is in a trade experiencing a skills shortage. Australian Employment Covenant The commitment employers make to provide real and sustainable employment opportunities to Indigenous Australians is a tremendous effort and it marks the beginning of a rewarding and exciting journey for the organisation. Bricklaying - Skills to build on The Australian Brick & Blocklaying Training Foundation WA recently launched a support program for Bricklaying Pre-Apprenticeships training. Construction Training Fund The Construction Training Fund is helping to develop the skills required in a modern, safe and productive building and construction industry by supporting training programs across all sectors of the industry. Department of Education Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) Indigenous Wage Subsidy (IWS) is an incentive paid to employers when they employ eligible Indigenous Australians on an ongoing basis. Government Initiatives Australian Apprenticeships attract financial assistance for eligible employers to help reduce the real cost of training.
