MALAGA Gets Educated About Armed Robbery
The City of Swan, in conjunction with the Malaga and Districts Business Association and the Malaga Crime Management Forum were pleased to present a course on Armed Robbery Prevention on Tuesday November 24.Conducted by Senior Sergeant Garry Tuffin from Midland Police and Media, and the Office of Crime Prevention this informative course was enjoyed by representatives from many local businesses, all of whom left the event with a information pack to take back to their respective workplaces and included a DVD to further train their staff.
The Office of Crime Prevention has successfully presented this course to over 750 businesses.
Of particular note was the fact that the presentation included footage from actual robberies in the Perth metro area, reminding everyone that it can happen at any time and to anyone, so it’s best to be prepared.
A second round of Armed Robbery Prevention will be arranged for sometime in March 2010.
