EOI – for National E-Security Week - The Expression of Interest (EOI) advertisement, to provide funding for community-based organisations to hold activities/events during the National E-security Awareness Week being held 5-12 June, appeared in a wide spread of national, major metropolitan and primary regional newspapers on Saturday 28 February. The advertisement will also appear in some regional newspapers throughout this week. The EOI and associated information can be accessed on the Stay Smart Online website at www.staysmartonline.gov.au/latest_newsDigital Economy - The Dept of Broadband, Communication and the Digital Economy have advised that responses to the Digital Economy Future Directions consultation paper are still being received. They are due by cob 13 March 2009 and should be submitted to DEFutureDirections@dbcde.gov.au

Digital Regions Initiative - Minister Stephan Conroy announced the four year $46 million Digital Regions Initiative competitive grants program.
The Digital Regions Initiative's key focus is on improving service delivery through the use of innovative digital enablement technology. Projects will be expected to offer sustainable solutions and longer term benefits for regional Australians.
